The Role of Specialist Nurse

As a nurse with us, you lead the implementation of all steps in the nursing process in collaboration with the patient and relatives. We work cross-professionally in teams with opportunities for competence and experience exchange with several different professions. Your tasks include investigation and treatment within psychiatric care, therapeutic conversations both individually and at group level. You focus on the patient's best interests and constantly work on improvements, contributing to the development of evidence-based person-centered care.

We offer you a full-time position, with working hours scheduled during weekdays in the daytime, 100% with start date by agreement.

Your Future Workplace

The Psychiatric Clinic Eksjö is one of three adult psychiatric clinics within the area of Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, and Diagnostics in Region Jönköping County. The clinic provides specialized psychiatric care for adults, from 18 years old, in both inpatient and outpatient care. We are constantly working to develop and improve the operations for the best possible psychiatric specialist care for residents in Höglandet. As an employee, you have good opportunities for professional development. You will work with varied tasks and will have the opportunity to develop within your areas of competence. The psychiatric reception in Eksjö is part of Höglandet's psychiatric clinic. Within the reception, we are 22 people with diverse expertise including specialist nurses, caregivers, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, administrative staff, and rehabilitation coordinators.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, preferably with specialist training in psychiatric care and experience in e.g. psychoses, mood disorders, and neuropsychiatry. If you do not have specialist training, there are good opportunities for further education within the clinic. If you have basic psychotherapy training corresponding to step 1, we see it as a significant advantage.

As travel may occur in the position, a driver's license is required.
